Our toddler community assists the very youngest child with their growing independence by helping them make individual work choices, offering purposeful and realistic activities, and respecting the toddler’s desire to "do it myself". The sense of community is further developed by a group meal, an assortment of mostly fresh fruits and vegetables prepared and served by the children each day.
Upon completion of the toddler program children will be able to complete a work cycle where they will first choose an activity, focus for an extended period of time, repeat the exercise, and replace the materials when finished. The teacher works in close partnership with parents as each child works to achieve independence at home with eating, sleeping, dressing and toileting.
